About the course
The course provides a systematic presentation of methods and tools for digital imaging. Techniques for filtering and analysis in frequency and spatial domain are presented. In particular, we will discuss the problems related to sampling and re-sampling, image enhancement, restoration, segmentation and compression. The course includes a number of laboratory exercises and an independent project, which gives the student good familiarity with commercial software, such as MATLAB.
