About the course
The course addresses linguistic perspectives on the Eurovision Song Contest. Using the Eurovision Song Contest as a starting point, the course provides an introduction to European language policy, discourse analysis, multilingualism and metaphors.
The course consists of five modules:
- introduction to the Eurovision Song Contest from a linguistic perspective (1.5 credits)
- discursive perspectives on gender, political identity, and nationality (1.5 credits)
- multilingualism (1,5hp)
- metaphors (1.5 credits)
- individual specialisation (1,5hp)
