Risk analysis in Radiotherapy 7.5 credits
About the course
The course is conducted in project form. Through self-studies, tutorials, interviews, and participation in the various stages involved in radiotherapy do a risk analysis of the radiotherapy chain. The risk analysis includes risk analysis of information and workflows and data analysis of the calibration of a linear accelerator.
The work will be based in the existing organization in radiation oncology department. Students are expected to identify the various information sources, information interpreters and existing control mechanisms. This information is compiled in a structured manner and analyzed. The course includes a number of lectures that provide an introduction to risk analysis tool that is frequently used in the sector. Emphasis is placed on Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Action Error Analysis (AEA). The goal is to assess the relevance and adequacies of the control mechanisms implemented today and suggest additions.

2. Final Report, 2.5 credits
