About the course
What is Swedish culture? This course provides an introduction to Swedish society, culture and daily life. It explores different themes and questions connecting contemporary culture with societal changes over the past century.
Themes covered includes gender,perceptions of Swedishness, the rural north and sustainability. Through a variety of learning activities, material and assignments, representations of Swedishness and Swedish culture and identity are highlighted and problematized.
The course is either taught on campus for international students, or as an online course open for all applicants.
