I have always been more interested in the international aspect of business and economics and see myself working in more internationally focused fields. I saw this program also as an opportunity to engage and socialise with students not only from Sweden but also from other parts of the world. I chose this program with the expectations of having a very diverse class and program as a whole and so far it has offered me exactly that!
What has been your experience with the program so far?
The program is very engaging and teaches your certain skill sets and knowledge that are important for your future career as well as what you need to become a global citizen. It has also pushed me to work better within group settings and put what I have learned into practice. The courses within this program cover different aspects that are currently relevant and have encouraged me to think critically and progressively.
What do you enjoy most about living and studying in Umeå?
Umeå has a perfect balance of nature and city life. I like to take advantage of both aspects and often do so with friends that I have met through my course. The university also offers a lot of great ways to socialise with other students, both local and international, which I have gladly made use of.
