At Umeå University, we offer different kinds of individual support if you have a disability. The aim of the support is to ensure that you may pursue your studies under the same conditions as your peers. However, if you have a temporary injury or illness, you are not entitled to the support.
Exchange students
In order to ensure that you get the appropriate disability support, your coordinator at your home university must contact the disability coordinator at Umeå University in good time (4-6 months) before your arrival. You should also talk to your coordinator regarding the possibility to apply for an extra grant to cover possible costs for support during your exchange.
International students (free-movers and fee-paying students)
