Industrial Design, Bachelor term 5 30 credits

About the course package

The exchange term at the Bachelor Programme in Industrial Design term 5, aims to give the student the opportunity to - both independently and in group - communicate her/his knowledge and skills, as well as reflecting on the student's own level of competence in relation to a future professional role as industrial designer. The course is divided into various parts such as project planning, portfolio, sketch, theory, caid, project work and storytelling.

The work is conducted individually or in groups, depending on the content of the different parts of the course. The student will through their studies, which are linked to contemporary design problems, further develop and refine her/his design process. Opportunities for in-depth reflection are offered in the projects, both in the student's own process, but also connected to a collaboration partner, and to the specific needs and wishes of a specific target group. The project is conducted in cooperation with an external company, organization or authority.

The student shall write a project description, which can later be used in the course final exam project. In this course the student shall learn a work process based on self-formulated goals.

5ID173 Design and theoretical subjects 3, 4.5 credits During this course, the student will be given the opportunity to develop her/his ability and experience to discuss and present theoretical issues.
