Degree thesis in molecular biology, 60 credits

Required Knowledge

Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper Secondary course English B. Additional requirements are: 45 ECTS-credits (excluding the degree thesis) in Life Sciences, including a minimum of 7,5 ECTS-credits in Genetics, 7,5 ECTS-credits in Microbiology and in total a minimum of 15 ECTS-credits in Plant- and Animal Physiology, and Cell- and Molecular Biology. 30 ECTS-credits in Chemistry, with a minimum of 7,5 ECTS-credits in Biochemistry. A degree thesis with a minimum of 15 ECTS-credits at the Bachelor’s level in any of the following areas: Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Genetics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Plant Physiology or Animal Physiology. Documented practical experience of laboratory work is required. This should correspond to a minimum of 30 ECTS-credits as well as courses at the advanced level of 60 ECTS-credits with a minimimum of 30 ECTS-credits in Molecular Biology. The course contents of at least one course of 15 ECTS-credits should be relevant for the degree thesis.
