The course deals with alternative interfaces for human-computer-interaction. Instead of using existing techniques (keyboard, mouse, touch screen), techniques for gesture recognition and voice control are used to communicate with computers. The course also deals with how a machine system extracts physical properties in the environment and how these can be used for human-computer interaction. The course also covers differences between human perception and computer-based perception.
Required Knowledge
For admission to the course, at least 90 ECTS credits are required, of which at least 30 credits in the main subject Media technology / Electronics and one of the courses Basic media signal processing 7.5 credits, Media signals 15 credits, or Applied digital signal processing 7.5 credits or alternatively 7.5 hp in the field of signal processing and image processing, 7.5 hp, or equivalent.
