Join us for an engaging and interactive lunch where you get the chance to mingle, exchange ideas, and get a glimpse of Future Forests activities. We will also present a slideshow and a movie about the German forests.
Journey through the German forests without leaving Umeå
During lunch, we will feature a slideshow showcasing moments from our excursion to Germany earlier this year. We are also excited to announce that Erland Mårald, Professor at Department of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies at Umeå University, will give a presentation where he shares his insights and reflections from the excursion.
After lunch, we will show the movie "FLICKER", which is a three-part documentary on climate change and how adaptation affects forest and people. Produced by Bitzer Productions AB during 2021–2024, the first part covers adaptive forestry in southern Germany, where effects and measures have gone further than in Sweden.
