Alexandra will present her previous and ongoing research on the ecological and biogeochemical functioning of Arctic aquatic-terrestrial ecosystems over long timescales using ancient eDNA, geochemical and spatial datasets. She will then give a few glimpses into how her Arctic-focused research program on marine systems will integrate these tools to generate predictive knowledge that would account for the long-term impacts of change in the climate, land use and biodiversity interactions of high latitude aquatic ecosystem processes and trajectories.
