The project focuses on expanding the knowledge of cold-risk management, health, and experiences of cold exposure in occupational settings.
Four studies will be a part of this project:
Paper I: Aimed to describe the current knowledge regarding cold exposure and risk management in the occupational setting. The secondary aim was to examine whether there were differences between sexes in cold exposure and risk management practices.
Paper II: Aimed to assess cold exposure and activity rates within three different outdoor occupational groups in Northern Sweden to be able to describe everyday exposure. Another aim was to assess subjective experiences of feeling cold at work and if there were individual or occupational/environmental factors associated with feeling cold.
Paper III: Aims to describe self-rated adverse health effects within three different outdoor occupational groups in Northern Sweden to be able to further describe the impact of working in cold-exposed environments.
Paper IV: Aims to explore perceptions regarding cold risk management, preventive actions and development possibilities within three different occupational sectors in Northern Sweden, and to further compare perspectives between employees and employers.
