About the workshop

Originality as a sign of ownership of knowledge and independence are central themes in this workshop, themes that the emergence of AI technologies has made both more pressing and more interesting to explore. What are we really looking for when we require students to express ideas in their own words in an assignment, or to demonstrate independence in a degree project? And how can we design assessments that genuinely evaluate what we intend to assess?

This workshop is a workshop in the truest sense of the word: we experience, reflect, and try again. We do not offer ready-made answers, but we do offer engaging questions that help us think more deeply and become wiser together.

AI for Learning

This workshop is part of the AI for Learning initiative at Umeå University. The initiative aims to establish a university wide platform for knowledge development, experience sharing and collegial learning. Through workshops, seminars, conferences and thematic working groups, the goal is to both deepen and broaden the University's work with AI for learning.
