Workshop: Life Science pitches and the second call of the EC Postdoctoral Programme

This workshop is an open informal occasion to learn about the second call of the multi-disciplinary “Excellence by Choice” (EC) Postdoctoral Programme in life science – there are some important changes in the process.

The workshop is also a platform for discussion and identification of new collaborations. The overall theme is to promote synergies from molecular to clinical research, including biological and medical problems, technologies, methods, resources, etc.

The workshop starts with three pitches. Each of the topics are briefly outlined with a 5-minute pitch followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussions. The workshop ends with a presentation of the process of the second round of recruitment of EC postdocs by Yaowen Wu, the director of UCMR.

Umeå Centre of Microbial Research, UCMR, and UPSC in collaboration with IceLab, KBC, MIMS and WCMM are organising the second call of the multi-disciplinary EC Postdoctoral Programme in life science. The programme is intended to recruit 17 highly qualified international postdocs. Four postdocs have already been selected in the first call.
