The Faculty of Science and Technology is happy to invite all supervisors at the faculty to the Supervisor Day 2025!

Supervising Neurodiverse PhD students (NPF)

Sometimes PhD students are ‘on the spectrum’ of neurodevelopmental disorders, NPF in Swedish. They are neurodiverse as opposed to neurotypical. What are their needs when it comes to being supervised? How can a supervisor take those needs into account?

Using neurodiverse PhD student personas and fictious but realistic supervision cases in this workshop, we will discuss inclusive, pedagogic supervision guidelines for equal, healthy, and effective learning and working environments for all. The workshop will be given in English.
