Welcome to Umeå University’s Annual Celebration!
This year’s Annual Celebration Ceremony (in Swedish Årshögtiden) takes place on 17 October 2026.
The Ceremony takes place in Aula Nordica. The Ceremony includes the conferment of honorary doctors and the inauguration of new professors. Recipients of the university's Medal of Merit are also celebrated. The Ceremony is open to the public. The audience must be seated by 16:50.
