Concert: starts 12.10 at the Teacher Education Building
Yael Deckelbaum is an Israeli / Canadian singer-songwriter and activist. As the leader of the Women Wage Peace Movement, she has engaged tens of thousands to actively promote peace in the Middle East. Women Wage Peace is a grassroots movement founded in 2014 whose purpose is to promote a political agreement to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The tens of thousands of members, mostly women, are Jews, Arabs, religious and secular. The goal is a mutually binding peaceful agreement, acceptable to both sides.
Before the concert, a peace march will be organized by Umeå Student Union with partners and Culture on campus. The march starts at Rådhustorget at 11 and finishes in the Teacher Education Building just before the concert. Yael and the band will join in the march and hopefully you too!
The band also wishes that the participants send in the name of the city they come from in order for the band to use in the concert. Do this by 21 November by commenting in the Facebook event.

The concert is held in partnership with MADE.
Welcome to march for peace!
