The Faculty of Medicine is engaged in research and education in the fields of medicine, odontology and health care. There are 12 departments, 5 research centres and 12 undergraduate programmes. The Faculty is comprised of 1 100 staff, about 45 % of which are teachers/researchers, and has about 3 400 undergraduate and 450 postgraduate student enrolment.
