See exhibitions, get a guided tour, enjoy a dance performance, solve an art quiz, and watch a movie. These and many other things happen on Umeå Arts Campus on Thursday, November 29, between 16:00 and 19:00.
Umeå Arts Campus was inaugurated near the Ume River in May this year. Here the School of Architecture, the Institute of Design, the Academy of Fine Arts, Bildmuseet, and HUMlab-X create a unique meeting point and a creative environment. The business incubator “Sliperiet”, a dynamic hub for scientists, students, businesses and public organisations, is also located on campus.
This Thursday, Umeå Arts Campus opens its doors to the public. Curious visitors can get a glimpse of what is happening there and take a closer look at the environment between 16:00 and 19:00.
Birgitta Nordholm, coordinator at the Umeå Institute of Design, hopes for many visitors from Umeå and the entire region. “Visitors will get to see the incredibly interesting cooperation opportunities available at the Arts Campus. They may also experience the exciting architecture and discover a new venue in an international environment,” she says.
