NEWS During Thursday 3rd October, EU Arctic Forum will take place at Universum, Umeå University. Arcum will be present in several different capacities.
EU Arctic Forum will take place in Universum and Aula Nordica during the 3rd of October.
Image Oscar SedholmFirst and foremost Arcum will be represented all day at the Umeå University counter, where you may find information material about Arcum and the Arctic Five cooperation, as well as get a brief presentation of some of the researchers affiliated to Arcum.
At 10:45 during the first coffee break, the Mistra Arctic Sustainable Development (MASD) project team will hold an official book launch of the volume The Politics of Arctic Resources (ed. Keskitalo, 2019). For more info on this, visit the Umu event page for the book launch (Swedish).
Arcum director Peter Sköld will be speaking as part of the final panel discussion of the day, under the theme 'Connecting the Arctic'. Furthermore, on the day after EU Arctic Forum (friday 5th), Peter Sköld has also been invited to speak on the state of the Arctic and climate change, and the role which science may play, during the student association Klimatstudenternas climate strike.
