NEWS The Arctic Research Centre at Umeå University (Arcum) is looking for a part-time Director of an interdisciplinary Arctic Graduate School with focus on sustainable development. If you have a permanent position as a senior lecturer or a professor at Umeå University, you are welcome to register your interest before August 31, 2021.

The initiative involves part-financing 16 doctoral positions, and the graduate school will contribute to develop, and coordinate, Arctic research and postgraduate education. It will also, among other things, support multidisciplinary Arctic research with a social responsibility, and inspire interdisciplinary initiatives.

The director’s main task will be to establish the graduate school during the fall of 2021, and thereafter lead the ongoing activities. The director is responsible for communication of the Arctic Graduate School's activities, as well as cooperation in existing networks. The director will be a part of Arcum's work environment, and report to Arcum's steering group.

More information is available at Aurora (in Swedish), and further information can be provided by Arcum's director.
