Barents Studies: Peoples, Economies and Politics – Call for Papers

This is a call for papers to be submitted for the second and third issues of the refereed journal Barents Studies: Peoples, Economies and Politics. The deadline for submission is April 15th 2014.
Theme for the 2nd issue is the social dimension of sustainability in the Barents region whereas the 3rd issue discusses the economic dimension of sustainability in the Barents region. We are open to new, innovative approaches to the study of the different aspects of development in the region.

Riabova is the editor‐in‐chief for the second issue. She is Head of Department of Social Policy in the North at the Luzin Institute for Economic Studies, Kola Science Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences.

Espiritu is the editor‐in‐chief for the third issue. She is Director of the Barents Institute at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
