On Thursday 15 October, Tobias Krantz, Minister for Higher Education and Research, and Maud Olofsson, Minister for Enterprise and Energy, will be visiting Umeå University in connection with the 3-day EU informal meeting of competitiveness ministers in Umeå.

Meet Maud Olofsson, Minister for Enterprise and Energy, and EU Commissioner Günter Verheugen
The informal EU meeting of competitive ministers will be held in Umeå during 14-16 October. On 15 October the focus will be on Europe’s competitiveness and the transition to an eco-efficient economy, led by Sweden's Minister for Enterprise and Energy Maud Olofsson. The objective is to discuss how Europe can become more competitive and simultaneously manage current challenges within climate and energy.
Directly after the meeting, business owners, students, and employees will have the opportunity to ask questions and meet Maud Oloffson and Vice-President of the EU Commission for Enterprise and Industry, Günter Verheugen.
