Following the Vice-Chancellor’s decision that Umeå University Library is to leave University Hospital of Umeå (NUS), visitors to the Medical Library are now beginning to notice the changes.
At present, this is a transition process in which Umeå University Library is moving its printed collections to the University Library on campus. Unfortunately, for a couple of days there was a communication mishap regarding this.
- It is regrettable that incorrect information was posted in the library. I therefore want to be clear that it has never been the intention to restrict students’ access to study spaces. Study spaces are essential for our students at the hospital, and it is therefore important to make clear that availability for students is not changing, says Malin Josefsson, Library Director at Umeå University Library.
