"This is the team that places Sweden among the world elite in women's curling." That is how Aftonbladet newspaper describes the winning curling team with team leader and Umeå student Stina Viktorsson, who won gold during Saturday's contest.
– It felt extremely good. We had only dreamt of winning gold, says a happy Stina Viktorsson to Umeå University.
– We have been in Canada and competed in the Grand Slam. I believe that was a really good start for us, and now we've won the European Championship.
Leaving Umeå
Stina Viktorsson is currently finishing a Bachelor's degree in cognitive science. By Christmas she's leaving Umeå and studying, but she'll never forget the memories from her time as a student.
– It's been fantastic to study in Umeå. Though after four and a half years of studying I'm beginning to feel quite happy and satisfied, she laughs.
Team Stina Viktorsson consisted of Maria Wennström, Christina Bertrup, Stina Viktorsson, Margaretha Sigfridsson and Agnes Knochenhauer.
