Elite Umeå student-athletes competing in Swedish Championships Week

Several of Umeå University's elite student-athletes are competing in one of 17 different sports events during the Swedish Championships (SM) Week held in Umeå this week.
Umeå's great winter sporting celebration will be held during 14 to 19 January and kicks off the 2014 European Capital of Culture year. Some of the many sports featured during the the SM week include: curling, rally, powerlifting, jujitsu and cross-country skiing - where several famous skiers are testing their form one month prior to the Sochi Winter Olympics.
The Umeå School of Sport Sciences at Umeå University has many elite student-athletes that are registered for this competition and will compete in both indoor and outdoor sports.
