NEWS We are very proud to announce that research funding of 10.8 million has been granted from Forte and Handelsbanken.

Grants from Forte

Forte is a research council funding research on health, working life and welfare. The research Forte funds today paves the way for a more equal and sustainable society in the future.

Senior Lecturer Tetiana Gorbach, Departmet of Statistics has been granted funding from Forte’s international postdoc program, outgoing international postdoc, SEK 2 300 000. The grant covers two years and at least two thirds of the project time must be spent in the country chosen for the postdoc period.

Grants from Jan Wallander's and Tom Hedelius's foundation and Tore Browald's foundation

Jan Wallander's and Tom Hedelius's foundation as well as Tore Browald's foundation are intended to support social science research, primarily in economic history, economic geography, business economics, economics and econometrics.

Professor Giovanni Forchini, Department of Economics, has received SEK 1 725 000 for prolongation of Raoul Theler’s Browaldh-scholarship and Professor Thomas Aronsson, also Department of Economics, has received the same amount for prolongation of Sonal Yadav’s Browaldh-scholarship. This means that Raoul and Sonal can stay with us at the business school for additional three years and both of them now enter their second scholarship period. The prolongation decision is made by Handelsbanken, and is based on an assessment of the scholars’ accomplishments during the first scholarship-period (i.e., the first three years).

Professor Gauthier Lanot, Department of Economics (PI) with co-applicants Professor Thomas Aronsson, doctoral student Johan Holmberg, and doctoral student Johan Gustafsson, all from The Department of Economics , have received TSEK 2 400 from Jan Wallanders &Tom Hedelius foundation & Tore Browaldhs foundation, for their project “Economic policy, Social Insurance and Self-employment”.

PhD Doctor Katharina Jenderny, Department of Economics, (PI) with co-applicants Professor Thomas Aronsson, Department of Economics and PhD. Johannes Koenig (Doctoral Fellow at Freie Universitat Berlin) have received funding from Jan Wallanders &Tom Hedelius foundation & Tore Browaldhs foundation. The amount is SEK 670 000 for the project: “Inkomster, finansiellt risktagande och ojämlikhet i livstidsresurser”.

Docent Sujith Nair (PI) with co-applicants Professor Tomas Blomquist and  Docent Medhanie Gaim, all from The Departmet of Business Administration, have received TSEK 1 979, from Jan Wallanders &Tom Hedelius foundation & Tore Browaldhs foundation for their project “Understanding the emergence of complex innovations and their ecosystems”.
