Invite to seminar at Umeå University: Retrieval-Based Learning Strategies from the Laboratory to the Classroom, October 16 2017.

Dr Megan Sumeracki (former Smith) and Dr Yana Weinstein studies human learning and memory, specifically applying the science of learning in educational contexts. They focus on bridging the gap between research and practice in education and addresses question like; How can we help students choose optimal study strategies? Why are test scores sometimes so surprising to students? And how does retrieval practice help students learn?
