Jonas Nilsson in book about responsible investments

NEWS RiseB co-worker Jonas Nilsson has written a chapter in the book Ansvarsfulla investeringar. Om fonder, etik och hållbarhet. (Responsible investments. About funds, ethics and sustainability), recently published by the Swedish Investment Fund Association.

The fact that consumers show more interest in responsible investments is not strange. Even though investments differ from regular buys, funds are a consumer product that changes with the customers preferences. Environment and ethics have become more important to many people, and the fact that this trend has become visible on the fund market is therefore natural. However, “instead of focusing on if ethic funds customers invest to do good or to have a better financial return the question should be who invests for these different reasons” the author states in the book.

A great number of people from banking and finance contribute together with Jonas Nilsson. The book is available for download from the Swedish Investment Fund Association's website.

In 2009, Jonas Nilsson publicly defended his doctoral thesis on consumer's decisions in complex situations where the data consisted of surveys with consumers who had invested in funds.
