Locked rooms can no longer be booked in the evenings and at weekends

NEWS We are changing the booking rules to make it clearer when you can access booked group study rooms. From 19 October, locked rooms can no longer be booked in the evenings or at weekends.

The change applies to rooms that need to be unlocked manually outside the buildings’ regular opening hours. Removing booking times when the rooms are locked reduces the risk of you booking a room that you cannot access.

If you need to study or work in a group outside regular opening hours, several open study spaces and rooms are still available on campus.

If you already have a booking affected by the change, you will receive information about the available alternatives.

The new rules apply from 19 October. In TimeEdit, you can see which rooms and times are available to book.

Earlier in the semester, the option to book group study rooms at night was removed. Unlocked group study rooms can now be booked between 07:00 and 22:00. This change also means that rooms are released for booking at 07:00 instead of at midnight.
