Lost and Found: Queerying the Archive

NEWS On the 31st of January, Bildmuseet premieres the exhibition Lost and Found: Queerying the Archive.

Thirteen international artists examine issues of gender and sexuality that has been discarded or disregarded in the annals of history. Questions of memory and the writing of history is scrutinized from a queer perspective.

The exhibition is produced in collaboration with Nikolaj, Copenhagen Contemporary Art Center and is shown in Umeå with the support of Umeå Centre for Gender Studies. The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of lectures and workshops by researchers and artists.Bildmuseet website
