Malin Moström, Umeå graduate and former football star, wins silver in SVT “champions” programme final

Malin Moström is most recognised for her successes as football player on the Swedish national team and Umeå IK, but she is also a graduate of Umeå University. Last night, she finished in 2nd place on the Swedish television programme “Mästarnas mästare” (Champion of champions).
Malin Moström is one of Sweden’s most acclaimed female football players of all time. She is also an alumna (former student) of Umeå University, earning a degree in business administration and economics at the Umeå School of Business in 2001.
On the 17th of March, the final episode of the SVT programme “Mästarnas mästare” was broadcast on channel SVT1. Malin was one of three finalists remaining of the 11 former Swedish athletic champions in the climatic finale. The programme champion was homegrown Umeå resident and former cross-country skier Per Elofsson. Malin Moström took home the 2nd place trophy.
