Over the years, ACCESS has included more than 50 different research themes within three main aspects: health, environment, and social issues.

Each ACCESS Forum focuses on a selection of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which provide the framework for the forum’s research themes. Before each forum, researchers can apply to organize a research theme that aligns with the forum’s selected global goals.

Apply to Lead a Research Theme at the ACCESS Forum 2027 in Gothenburg

The ACCESS Forum offers researchers an opportunity to broaden their networks, develop innovative solutions, and build long-term collaborations.

It is now possible to apply to organize a research theme for the upcoming ACCESS Forum, which will take place in Gothenburg, Sweden, 14–18 June 2027. By leading a research theme, you gain a unique opportunity to shape and drive research discussions on shared challenges for both Sweden and Chile, in close collaboration with researchers from both countries.

Each research theme is proposed and organized by one researcher from Sweden and one from Chile. Once the themes have been selected, registration for participants will open.
