PhD student in Statistics

NEWS The Department of Statistics at the Umeå School of Business and Economics conducts methodological research with applications in the social, educational and medical sciences and are now looking for a PhD student in Statistics which can perform high quality methodological statistical research within the field of psychometrics.

We have an opening for a PhD student in Statistics within the project New statistical methods to ascertain high quality over time in standardized achievement tests. The project is led by Marie Wiberg in collaboration with international researchers in psychometrics. The overall aim is to develop new efficient statistical methods within the area of psychometrics, in order to ascertain and guarantee high quality over time in large standardized achievement tests.

 The PhD program in Statistics is four years. PhD students may be appointed to teaching and/or consulting duties up to 20 % of their time, thereby prolonging the duration of the program to guarantee four years of graduate studies.
