Six research projects supported by Heart-Lung Foundation

Six researchers at Umeå University have been granted SEK 3.9 million in project funding from the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation to develop methods and treatments that can help patients with heart, lung and vascular diseases.
The Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation, which pays for the majority of independent heart-lung research in Sweden, annually grants around SEK 165 million to research in Sweden. The fund supports research into fields such as heart attack, heart failure, vascular spasm, genetic heart defects, stroke, asthma, COPD and emphysema.
The six researchers at Umeå University that will share the SEK 3.9 million are:
