NEWS Anders Johansson’s research looks at infections, how they spread, and ways to prevent them by studying both the germs themselves and how people behave. This research might also lead to smart systems that can analyse a lot of health data to spot infection risks in society and healthcare automatically.
Anders Johansson became professor i infection diseases 1 December 2022 and is affilierad to Umeå Centre for Microbial Research, UCMR. He is one of the new professors at Umeå University that will be installed at Årshögtiden 20-21 October.
