Umeå alumnus named new head at Swedbank

NEWS Umeå alumnus Ulf Ejelöv, who currenlty holds the position as Head of Nordea Bank in Umeå, has been appointed as new Head of region North at Swedbank. Ulf Ejelöv earned a degree from Umeå University in 1984.

During the past 15 years Ulf Ejelöv has had various positions within Föreningsbanken, Folksam and Nordea, such as head of Nordea in Umeå and Head of region for Folksam in Västerbotten County.

"Swedbank strives to focus and to strengthen the regional and local knowledge in the organisation and it is with great pleasure we have succeeded in recruiting Ulf Ejelöv. His local expertise and knowledge will contribute to Swedbank in the region that today consists of 75 branches and 700 employees", says Kjell Hedman, Head of Swedish Banking at Swedbank.

Ulf Ejelöv will take up his new position from 1 October 2009 and will be included in Swedish Banking Management and in Swedbank's Senior Management.
