Umeå University alumni new head of WHO

NEWS Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, a former student at the division Epidemiology and Global Health, have been appointed to Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Of the UN:s 186 member countries 133 voted for Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who then became the first Director-General from Africa.
