The University Library at Umeå University has recently undertaken a customer survey among its users and clients. Nearly 2500 individuals completed the survey and the results show very positive figures.
“The client survey was intended to obtain an overview of how users perceive the library, its services and what improvements people feel are needed,” says Gunni Öberg, assistant chief librarian.
The survey respondents gave many comments which can result in improved opening hours, interactive games for medical students and improving air quality in the library premises.
“It is gratifying that so many library users have comments and suggestions for the improvement of our library environment,” adds Gunni Öberg. “We are planning future activities based on the results of the survey and will try to satisfy the needs of our clients. The staff has received high marks both in terms of service and skills which, of course, encourages us to become even better.
