Umeå University represented in the Board of the Swedish Research Council

On Tuesday 8 December, the Members of the Board of the Swedish Research Council for 2016–2018 were elected. Some of the members are Maria Fällman, Britta Lundgren, Heidi Hansson and Helena Edlund at Umeå University.
Helena Edlund, Maria Fällman, Heidi Hansson and Britta Lundgren at Umeå University appointed new Members of Board and Scientific Councils of the Swedish Research Council.
Every three years, new and re-elected members are appointed for the Swedish Research Council Board, councils and committees. The Members of the Board are appointed through an electorate, whereas other members are appointed by the Board or the Government. The Government appointments for Medicine and Health are yet to be made.
From Umeå University, Maria Fällman and Britta Lundgren were appointed new Members of Board of the Swedish Research Council. For the Scientific Council for Humanities and Social Sciences, Heidi Hansson was appointed new member. Helena Edlund was re-elected as Member of the Scientific Council for Medicine and Health.
The Board has overall responsibility for activities as a whole, is also responsible for the focus of activities and adopts the work plan for using the government research and research communication appropriation.
