The International Office warmly welcomes staff members from all Umeå University Partner Institutions to take part in our second Staff Exchange Week which takes place between November 14-18, 2011.
During the week you will have the opportunity to get to know our university and its surroundings, receive information on how we work with our exchange programs and other international activities and, maybe most important of all, spend a day with your departmental contacts. You will also be invited to get to know Umeå and some of our history and culture.
One of the main purposes of this week is to share experiences and learn from each other. This year, we have chosen two workshop themes that we feel to be of specific interest at the time being: “Quality Assurance in Mobility Programmes” and, in the light of recent events in the world; “Crisis Management”.
One reason for us to choose this particular week for the event is that the “Umeå University International Week” takes place during November 14-17. This means that many exciting cultural events will take place on campus and downtown. The International Week Programme is not finalized at the time being but we will make sure to include the possibility for our Staff Exchange Week Participants to take part in some of these events.
