USBE Enrichment Award 2025

NEWS The 2025 recipient of the USBE Enrichment Award of SEK 10,000, awarded in collaboration with Swedbank, has been announced. The recipient is Lisa Sånemyr, a student at the Business and Economics Program in Service Management.

To be considered for the award, the recipient must have worked to:

"promote development and quality in terms of the study environment and/or campus life at the Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics in such a way that it has benefited the education and/or development of fellow students"

Lisa Sånemyr is awarded the prize for her work in the role as chair of the student association HHUS.

In her work as chairwoman, Lisa has worked structurally to improve inclusion and transparency for both members directly workding in the association as well as other members. The work has resulted in a positive cultural change, which has also been shown in increased member engagement. Lisa also has gotten good feedback on her leadership and behavior.

Said about Lisa: “… As chairwoman of HHUS, Lisa has, through her committed leadership, contributed to a significant improvement in student life for students at the business school. She has purposefully worked for increased inclusion and transparency and has exceeded the high expectations set for the role.”

Lisa´s comment about the award:

"I am incredibly happy and moved to receive this award! It has been a true privilege to lead HHUS as chairperson in a time of development, with dedicated work for increased inclusion and transparency. Our focus has been to strengthen the association's long-term sustainability, and through clearer communication and new guidelines, the goal was an HHUS where everyone is given the opportunity to grow and influence. The fact that this commitment is now being recognized and has led to a noticeable cultural change and increased member engagement makes me proud."
