Research group CRESPO
Our research group explores how societal norms and values are reconstituted through policy-, organisation-, and governance processes in sport. Central to our work is the consequences of these interactions for the distribution of power and resources, prioritization of activities and target groups, and broader patterns of participation and influence within and beyond the sport sector.
This interest is pursued in projects concerned with, for example, policy formation and implementation, tensions between professionalised management and democratic governance, and issues of (under)representation in federative, membership-based and voluntary sport systems.
