Nano for energy

Research group Synthesis and characterization of various types of nanomaterials.

In the research group we work on synthesis, characterization of various types of nanomaterials, including both carbon nanostructures such as graphene, carbon nanotubes and fullerenes but also nanoparticles and low-dimensional nanomaterials comprising alloys of transition metal oxides, and noble metal alloys.

We are interested in both fundamental understanding of growth and structural properties, as well as fundamental understanding of physiochemical material properties such as electrical, thermal and optical properties. We are implementing the nanomaterials in various devices for energy applications, in particular fuel cells, electrolysers, and solar cells.
