Are you interested in participating in the project Dietitian Online (DiOn)? Please start by checking below to see whether you are part of the study's target group. If you are, please feel free to register.
Target group
People who have had a digital visit with a dietitian in Sweden via video.
You can take part if you:
Are aged 18 or older
Have had a video visit with a dietitian in the last two years
You register your interest in participating by answering a questionnaire with some background questions. You will then be contacted by the research group to arrange a convenient time for a group interview. When it is time for the interview, you will connect via a link to a Zoom meeting with other dietetic patients and relatives, and two members of the research group. You and the other participants will talk about your different experiences with internet-based dietetic treatment. The interview session will be video recorded to facilitate analysis. The group interview is expected to take about 1 hour.
Technical requirements
To participate in the study, you will need an internet connection and a device with video (audio and moving image) capability – a smartphone, tablet or computer. We request that you use a headset (headphones with microphone) for better sound quality and to prevent others in your vicinity from hearing what is said.
Timetable
The interviews are expected to take place in spring 2023. The deadline for registration is 30 april 2023.
Can I choose whether I want to be interviewed individually or in a group? There will be an opportunity to do this. Please let the head of project know of your preference, or write a comment about this when you register.
Can I choose whether I want to be interviewed digitally or in a face-to-face meeting? No, the interviews will take place digitally.
Is it possible to change my mind about participating? Of course! You can end your participation in the study at any time, and you do not need to tell us why you no longer want to take part.
How will the project handle the data I provide (interview responses, etc.)? The data collected by the project will be stored locally on servers at Umeå University. Access to the data is protected in several steps; only persons authorised by the head of project will have access to the data, personal data (any data that could in any way allow you to be identified such as name, gender, age, email address, etc.) is stored separately, and access to this data is further restricted.
Will any compensation be offered? As thanks for your participation, you will receive a scratch-off lottery ticket (trisslott).
