Are you interested in participating in the project Dietitian Online (DiOn)? Please start by checking below to see whether you are part of the study's target group. If you are, please feel free to register.

You can take part if you:

  • Are aged 18 or older
  • Have had a video visit with a dietitian in the last two years

Registration for the study

What will I need to do as a study participant?

You register your interest in participating through the link above or by clicking here. You will then be contacted by the research group for more information about the study. Should you choose to participate, you and the researcher will book an online interview at your convenience. When it is time for the interview, you will connect via a link to a Zoom meeting. You and the researcher will talk about your experiences with internet-based dietetic treatment. The interview session will be video-recorded to facilitate analysis. The interview is expected to take about 1 hour.

Technical requirements

To participate in the study, you will need an internet connection and a device with video capability (audio and camera)– a smartphone, tablet, or computer. We appreciate it if you use a headset (headphones with microphone) for better sound quality and to prevent others in your vicinity from hearing what is said.

Timetable

The interviews are expected to take place in 2023 and spring of 2024.

FAQs

FAQs

Can I choose whether I want to be interviewed digitally or in a face-to-face meeting?
No, the interviews will take place digitally.

Is it possible to change my mind about participating?
Of course! You can end your participation in the study at any time, and you do not need to tell us why you no longer want to take part.

How will the project handle the data I provide (interview responses, etc.)?
The data collected by the project will be stored locally on servers at Umeå University. Access to the data is protected in several steps; only persons authorised by the head of the project will have access to the data, personal data (any data that could in any way allow you to be identified such as name, gender, age, email address, etc.) is stored separately, and access to this data is further restricted.

Will any compensation be offered?
As a small token of appreciation for your participation, you will receive a scratch-off lottery ticket (trisslott).
