PhD project My research deals with Swedish handbooks, from 1985 to today, for writing fiction. During the 80’s this kind of handbooks were rare, and about three books were published.
Between year 2000 and 2010 the number of published handbooks were twenty.
In my research I will try to understand this development, and I will analyse how the act of writing is described in the handbooks during different periods and in comparison with the teaching of writing in Swedish (upper and secondary upper) schools.
