Trust in political and welfare specific institutions in comparative perspective

How do public perceptions about institutional capacity influence citizens' views on welfare policies? The project is grounded in a theoretical framework that suggests that the way citizens interpret and perceive the role of democratic institutions influence their preferences about what and how the state should solve different social issues and problems. The project compares public opinion both over time and across countries using survey data.
