BUP is a network of over 120 higher education institutions in the Baltic Sea region. The programme creates and coordinates undergraduate and Master’s level courses at its participating institutions and sponsors joint research projects with a focus on sustainable development in the region. For instance, they provide open online courses that anyone can participate in. BUP also annually organises conferences and gatherings aimed at students, researchers and university teachers. BUP is coordinated by Uppsala University.
