Erasmus exchanges for researchers and teachers
If you are a researcher, you have the opportunity to go on a skills-enhancing exchange to a country that is part of the Erasmus programme. This includes the 27 EU Member States and six non-EU associated countries. You can visit companies, labs or other organisations or attend a course that is relevant to your work. You can also learn new methods or how to use new equipment as a way to develop your skills.
You are not allowed to conduct your own research during the actual exchange, but you can shadow colleagues as they work on tasks relevant to you in your role as a way of learning how you can improve your research at home. Note that exchanges are not approved for conferences.
If, in addition to your research, you also teach, you can develop your skills in areas related to your teaching or your course. This could include attending lectures or seminars with teachers at other universities to see how they teach, both from an educational and content perspective. More information and contact details are available on Aktum.
