The inventory process

Each year in February, the University’s Council for Research Infrastructure (RIS) conducts a research infrastructure inventory to determine which research infrastructures meet Umeå University’s criteria. If an infrastructure that meets the criteria is not included on the University’s list, it should be registered in the annual inventory.

Existing infrastructures only need to give notice if they want to be removed from the list.

Processing applications

In April, RIS decides which of the registered infrastructures meet the criteria. The Council then announces its decision to the applying research infrastructures and provides instructions on how to create the infrastructure’s webpage on umu.se.
