Timeline for registration and inventory
Registration of new infrastructures takes place during the month of February. Infrastructures that are already registered only need to notify the research infrastructure officer if they wish to deregister.
By April at the latest, the Council for Research Infrastructure at Umeå University announces its decision on which submitted infrastructures meet the criteria and will be included in the University’s official register.
Infrastructures approved for registration will receive instructions for creating a webpage to be published among the university-wide research infrastructures on umu.se.
How to register a new research infrastructure
The registration period for new research infrastructure is now closed and opens again on 1 February 2027. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact the research infrastructure officer.
Research infrastructures at Region Västerbotten
Research infrastructures at Region Västerbotten that are wholly or partly used in research at Umeå University may also be registered during the registration period. Infrastructures that successfully go through the registration process will be presented on umu.se. If you have any questions, please contact the research infrastructure officer.
Benefits of registration
- Only registered research infrastructures are displayed on the university-wide research infrastructure webpage.
- Infrastructures at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Science and Technology must be registered at Umeå University to apply for faculty funding related to research infrastructure.
- Registration enables the University to plan strategically for the funding and prioritisation of research infrastructures.
